We will be discussing Demon Copperhead by Barbara Kingsolver. This New York Times best seller and winner of the Pulitzer Prize for Fiction in 2023, is a powerful novel inspired by Charles Dickens's David Copperfield. This novel is about a boy who experiences poverty in Appalachia and touches on contemporary issues of social and economic stratification, child poverty and drug addiction.
